Competitive Team

Our competitive team is made up of college students looking to compete in the USA Climbing Collegiate Competition Circuit. They train weekly at the local climbing gym with coach Brandon Shen. The comp team travels to participate in collegiate and local competitions, with locations including Mosaic Boulders, Agility Boulders, Benchmark Climbing Gym, Long Beach Rising, Rockreation, Mesa Rim, and more! Team members are selected through tryouts at the beginning of the year and continually train to improve both their technical skills and strength. These representatives have placed as finalists in local competitions, and Santa Cruz Climbing has sent team members to collegiate nationals for both bouldering and lead climbing!
